Our Team

Tony Whitehead
Attended Liberty University with a study in Theology. He served in the United States Army and is currently the President of StarLink Construction Utilities, LLC. He is an executive with 30 years of business and management experience. Tony has 24 years of experience with Dominion Virginia Power. He began as a trainee and worked his way to a Manager position before taking an early retirement. Tony founded, built, and led StarTek WorkForce Solutions to be the largest 1099 Cable Contracting company in the United States.
Christian Whitehead
Sr. Vice President 
Attended Virginia Tech University and Liberty University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Management. Christian has experience in both underground construction and installations. Christian was the Director of Marketing for StarTek Workforce Solutions, LLC from 2014-2016 where he helped to increase productivity 100% each year by optimizing marketing strategies with the implementation of new software. He currently serves in the capacity of Vice President for StarLink and oversees all company operations.
Mike Childers
Mike is a native Floridian and grew up in the Tampa Bay area, graduating from USF in 2005. He held a variety of accounting/finance roles in his career and was most recently the Director of Business Planning for Peoples Gas. He and his wife have 3 kids, 15, 7 and 5 and they keep them very busy. When they aren’t running around with the kids they like to get out on the water and enjoy the Florida sunshine.
John Hanks
Director of Operations
John is currently the Director of Operations at Starlink. He graduated from Saint Leo University in North Tampa. He has 18 years of experience in the cable industry working for Kablelink Communications all over the U.S. His hobbies include cooking, fishing, and relaxing on the boat.
John DuBois
Director of Safety & QA/QC
John DuBois is the Director of QA/QC at StarLink Construction and holds the electrical and underground utility construction licenses for the company. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Management from American Public University and brings over 35 years’ experience in the maintenance and construction industries. He is co-founder of KableLink Communications, a strategic partner in the Tampa Bay area and is a veteran of the USAF.
Daniel Kus
Director of Fleet and Business Development
Daniel Kus serves as the Director of Fleet and Business Development, bringing a diverse skill set to the team. As a true one-stop-shop professional, he seamlessly manages mechanical needs all the way to driving business growth. Dan excels in customer service, business development, collision repair, welding, fabricating, electrical, and troubleshooting. He brings 40+ years of mechanical experience to the table. Beyond his professional pursuits, Daniel cherishes spending quality time outdoors with his wife and daughter.
Dave Perez
Director of Directional Boring
David is currently overseeing all the directional boring projects for Starlink. He currently has 24 years in the construction utility industry. He was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area and is a proud father. His hobbies outside of work are cars and atvs.
Kay Malik
HR Director
Kay has a Master’s degree in HR Management from Nova Southeastern University. She also holds the PHR and SHRM CP credentials. Kay brings with her a wide variety of experience in management, employee relations, talent acquisition, finance, leadership development and HR functions. Kay is the Director of Human Resources at Starlink Construction. She collaborates with senior leadership and maintains compliance, implements policies & procedures and oversees the HR department.
Shelia Leibee
Payroll and Compliance Administrator
Sheila runs the Payroll and Compliance Administration here at Starlink. She formally was the quality control manager for GTE/Verizion. Sheila was the manager over Installation & Repair, central office & transmission equipment along with highway engineering & construction. Most recently the director of central office equipment installation for Verizon.
